A Case for John Sidney McCain
Open letter to Roman Catholics for Obama
by David G. Fago

(Please feel free to distribute!)

This letter is addressed to all the “Roman Catholics for Obama” groups out there.

I have read and heard many reasons why Roman Catholics are supporting Barack Hussein Obama for President this year, and on the surface…the arguments are compelling. Some of the issues that concern Roman Catholics that would compel them to vote for Obama are: Unemployment, High Gas Prices, The Wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the failure of Wall Street, and a genuine hate for George W. Bush.

I am 36 years old so let’s take a look at the national political issues since I was a little baby. The average national unemployment rates since 1972 are as follows:

Year Unemployment Rate
1972 5.6
1973 4.9
1974 5.6
1975 8.5
1976 7.7
1977 7.1
1978 6.1
1979 5.8
1980 7.1
1981 7.6
1982 9.7
1983 9.6
1984 7.5
1985 7.2
1986 7.0
1987 6.2
1988 5.5
1989 5.3
1990 5.6
1991 6.8
1992 7.5
1993 6.9
1994 6.1
1995 5.6
1996 5.4
1997 4.9
1998 4.5
1999 4.2
2000 4.0
2001 4.7
2002 5.8
2003 6.0
2004 5.5
2005 5.1
2006 4.6
2007 4.6

So as you can see, over the last 36 years the unemployment rate has gone up and it has gone down. For many years people are working, and in many other years there is higher unemployment. These are trends that go up and down and these trends can be affected by any of our elected officials whether they are presidents or city council representatives. The above data can be referenced at the website for the United States Department of labor: http://www.bls.gov/cps/prev_yrs.htm.

The price for a barrel of crude oil has fluctuated over the last 35 years. Below is a chart describing the cost for a barrel of oil since 1973. This data is compiled from the website http://inflationdata.com/inflation/Inflation_Rate/Historical_Oil_Prices_Table.asp.

Year Price adj. for Inflation
1973 $ 4.75 $ 22.80
1974 $ 9.35 $ 40.67
1975 $ 12.21 $ 48.71
1976 $ 13.10 $ 49.46
1977 $ 14.40 $ 51.02
1978 $ 14.95 $ 49.27
1979 $ 25.10 $ 73.60
1980 $ 37.42 $ 97.68
1981 $ 35.75 $ 84.58
1982 $ 31.83 $ 70.91
1983 $ 29.08 $ 62.74
1984 $ 28.75 $ 59.47
1985 $ 26.92 $ 53.76
1986 $ 14.44 $ 28.29
1987 $ 17.75 $ 33.56
1988 $ 14.87 $ 27.05
1989 $ 18.33 $ 31.75
1990 $ 23.19 $ 38.02
1991 $ 20.20 $ 31.86
1992 $ 19.25 $ 29.47
1993 $ 16.75 $ 24.92
1994 $ 15.66 $ 22.69
1995 $ 16.75 $ 23.62
1996 $ 20.46 $ 28.01
1997 $ 18.64 $ 24.95
1998 $ 11.91 $ 15.70
1999 $ 16.56 $ 21.30
2000 $ 27.39 $ 34.16
2001 $ 23.00 $ 27.92
2002 $ 22.81 $ 27.22
2003 $ 27.69 $ 32.34
2004 $ 37.66 $ 42.80
2005 $ 50.04 $ 54.99
2006 $ 58.30 $ 62.11
2007 $ 64.20 $ 66.40
2008 $ 97.98 $ 98.66

An interesting note to point out is that if you look at the price of a barrel of oil adjusted for inflation in 1980, the average price was $97.68. This is very similar to the prices we are seeing today, and we survived those high oil prices back then.

Since the early 1970’s the United has fought in or supported allies in a variety of conflicts. Let’s have a look at some of these conflicts over the years since the early 1970’s. The Vietnam War ended in the mid-1970’s with the United States withdrawing from Vietnam. 58,000 US troops died in this conflict. 20 US troops were killed in support of the El Salvador Civil War. 266 US troops were killed during the Beirut deployment 1982-1984. 39 US personnel were killed during the escorting of allied Oil Tankers in the Persian Gulf 1987-1988. 19 US troops were killed during the Liberation of Grenada in 1983. 40 US troops were killed during the invasion of Panama in 1989. 299 US troops were killed during the first Gulf War in 1990-1991. 43 US troops were killed in 1992-1993 Somalia. 4 US troops were killed in Haiti in 1994-1995. From 1995-2004, 12 US troops were killed in Bosnia. 20 US troops were killed in Kosovo from 1999 to the present day. In Afghanistan, we have lost 573 US troops. The Iraq War (2003-Present) over 4,000 US troops have died for the defense of country.

War is a terrible act. Throughout the history of the United States, we have always served as the liberator and re-builder. I fully feel the pain of Roman Catholics who are standing firm and voting for Obama because of the War on Terror. However in 2001, Iraq was led by a dictatorial regime under Saddam Hussein. Saddam Hussein was an enemy who protected, funded, sheltered, and trained terrorists. Today, in 2008, Iraq is an ally of the United States. We cannot turn our back on them now like Barack Hussein Obama would like us to do.

Since 1973, the United States government performed several bailouts. Here is a listing:
1974 – Franklin National Bank – US Government cost $7.7 Billion.
1975 – City of New York – US Government cost $9.4 Billion.
1980 – Chrysler – US Government cost $3.9 Billion.
1984 – Illinois Bank & Trust - US Government cost $9.5 Billion.
1989 – Savings & Loans - US Government cost $293.8 Billion.
2001 – Airline Industry - US Government cost $18.6 Billion.
2008 – Bear Stearns - US Government cost $30 Billion.
2008 – Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac - US Government cost $200 Billion.
2008 – Latest Bailout - US Government cost $700 Billion.

(Source: http://www.propublica.org/special/government-bailouts/)

Let’s have a look at the issues of our day and our recent past. Sometimes bad economic times happen in the United States. Sometimes, we lose our job, prices skyrocket, wars are fought, and things seem gloomy. Throughout our history, the United States has always rebounded. We have bolstered our economy. We have liberated oppressed people. We have defeated evil. The one thing that has remained constant since 1973 is Roe vs. Wade. 43 million children have been murdered in this country alone. Roe vs. Wade has made our society numb to the fact that an unborn child is nothing more than a lumpy mass to be thrown away.

Since 1973, with all the high gas prices, all the wars and battles, all the bailouts, and all the economic issues…we as a people have rebounded. We did this regardless of which party was in power. The rebound will happen. Whether a Democrat or a Republican is in the White House, our economic situation will improve. The history of our great country has proven this. However, with Barack Hussein Obama in the White House, our country will continue this genocide against unborn children. This is what you have to think about when you pull that ballot this November. You must think about this as a Roman Catholic. We are at an impasse in our history where we as Roman Catholics and Christians can truly make a difference in defending the unborn children in our country. This is what you must think of when voting for president. Electing Barack Hussein Obama will continue this genocide for 30 more years. Electing John Sidney McCain will give us an opportunity to defend these most innocent of lives.

Roman Catholics must remember this: We celebrate the Immaculate Conception. We have a feast day and a Holy Day of Obligation for the Immaculate Conception on December 8. This day alone tells us that life begins at conception. This day is not called the “Immaculate Fetus Date of a Potential Baby That Might Become Someone Special”. It is called the Immaculate Conception because at the very instance of conception, this baby, this person, this human being with potential IS going to be someone special. (I don’t think we need Bill Clinton to tell what the definition of IS is on this one!)

If you vote a straight Democratic ticket for Congress and Senate and state and local offices…that is OK. But for a vote for President of the United States…as a Roman Catholic…you must vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin to reverse this terrible genocide and call for the protection of the most innocent human life.

The follwing editorial was printed in the Plain Dealer on 9/10/2008:

Republican believes her party is out of touch -- letter to the editor

I'm a longtime Republican who will proudly vote for Barack Obama in the upcoming election. I painfully watched the Republican convention. Apparently they don't live in my America. My America is in a recession.I appreciate the service of John McCain and the multiple military references, but that service will not put food on the tables in my America. My America is Asian, Indian, White, African-American and Hispanic. Apparently their America is all white -- all you had to do was look out in that crowd to see that the Republican convention did not reflect the diversity of this country. In my America, Democrats as well as Republicans believe in family values. Apparently, they believe that somehow that party and that party only cares about family values. I would say that, apparently, the Republican Party is simply out of touch with the struggles of my America. I am voting for Barack Obama and I am writing this letter because my America is the America that we will leave to our children, and I owe my vote to them. Kay Creekmore Copley Township

- - End of Editorial - -

I sent this letter to the editor in response:

Quit calling yourselves Republicans

I am writing in response to Kay Creekmore’s letter to the editor. She states, “I’m a longtime Republican who will proudly vote for Barack Obama in the upcoming election.” I question the “longtime Republican” statement. In fact, when I looked up Kay’s voting record for Patricia K. Creekmore I clearly see that she has never pulled a Republican ballot in a Primary election since the year 2000. In fact, the only partisan ballot Kay ever pulled was this past year in 2008, and it was a Democrat ballot. The public records do not lie, and this information is all public knowledge compliments of the Ohio Secretary of State.Kay is one more person in a long line of people claiming to be “longtime” Republicans who are tired of the party and voting for Obama. I am also tired of the Plain Dealer blindly printing these kinds of letters without taking a minute to research her claims. It took me one minute to download the voter data from the Ohio SOS site and prove Kay to be a Democrat, not a Republican.

Message to Rosemary Palmer and her fellow Kucinich supporters

By

David G. Fago

Message to Rosemary Palmer: Yes Rosemary, I am a Republican. You could have had one of your campaign staffers look that up in the listing of registered voters for your district. You did not have to call my home and badger my wife about what party I belong to. Now with that out in the open, I actually want to commend the Cleveland Plain Dealer. I am sure they did not realize that their article about Dennis Kucinich dropping out of the presidential race to concentrate on his re-election to congress was giving great praise to Barbara Ann Ferris.

I make no bones about the fact that I am a Republican. I still have a lot of friends that are democrats (including my mom) who are all very active in the Democratic Party. I will even campaign for Democrats especially the ones that want to bring about good government. I want good government in the 10th congressional district, and Barb’s four opponents (all Kucinich supporters) will continue on with Dennis’ crappy ways for keeping the district in a permanent recession. Some opponents don’t live in the district (Joe Cimperman).

I will quote the Plain Dealer, and cite the paper. “Cimperman campaigned for Kucinich two years ago after he was reassured by the congressman that he would not run for president again.” (Cleveland Plain Dealer, Friday, January 25, 2008 – Teresa Dixon Murray)

Joe Cimperman supported Dennis Kucinich in 2006. If you want more Kucinich, vote for Joe Cimperman. The plain fact that Joe Cimperman supported Kucinich in 2006 shows that he is not for change, nor will he be any different than Kucinich. Also…Joe STILL DOES NOT LIVE IN THE 10TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT.

Plain Dealer quote: “Congressional challenger Rosemary Palmer, another supporter of Kucinich’s re-election in 2006….” (Cleveland Plain Dealer, Friday, January 25, 2008 – Teresa Dixon Murray).

Once again…Rosemary Palmer is a supporter of Dennis Kucinich. You want more Dennis Kucinich, than vote for Rosemary Palmer.

“North Olmsted Mayor Thomas O’Grady, another challenger, has had little criticism of Kucinich…” (Cleveland Plain Dealer, Friday, January 25, 2008 – Teresa Dixon Murray)

Tom O’Grady…has little to criticize about Kucinich…he may as well be Kucinich’s campaign manager.

The only Democratic Candidate worthy of a vote to change and improve this district is Barbara Ann Ferris. For the last 5 years, Barb Ferris has said Dennis Kucinich is the problem in the 10th District. In the last five years Joe Cimperman & Rosemary Palmer have supported and helped Kucinich win re-election. In my opinion, Palmer and Cimperman are equally to blame in the disastrous representation we have had in the 10th district. O’Grady seems to not have much of voice since he doesn’t want to be too critical and actually sounds like a Kucinich supporter.

So Democrats have some choices:

1) Dennis Kucinich (recently a past supporter of Dennis Kucinich and Blidpoolrippy (an alien from the planet Xenon in the Quarsasi system)

2) Joe Cimperman (a guy who DOES NOT LIVE IN THE 10TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT and A DENNIS KUCINICH SUPPORTER)

3) Rosemary Palmer (A DENNIS KUCINICH SUPPORTER)

4) Tom O’Grady (A KUCINICH SUPPORTER based on the fact that he has nothing bad to say about the current former presidential candidate)

5) Barbara Anne Ferris – The only candidate who has taken an outspoken stance against the problem in the 10th Congressional district. That problem is Kucinich.

So there you have it Democrats of the 10th congressional district. You have the choice between four Dennis Kucinich supporters (Joe “I don’t live in the district” Cimperman, Rosemary “I like Dennis” Palmer, Dennis “Kucinich Supporter” Kucinich, and Tom “Nothing bad to say about Dennis” O’Grady).

The only Democratic Candidate worth a damn is Barbara Anne Ferris.

Now put that in your pipe and smoke it RP.

More to come…

Fago's endorsements for the 10th Congressional District

by

David G. Fago

Wow…it has been a long time. This latest update is to weigh in on the 10th Congressional District. I will give my review of each candidate and tell you who I am endorsing for each of the primaries (Democrat and Republican).

The bottom line of this race is to remove Dennis Kucinich from public office. Even if you decide not to vote for the candidate I endorse, I beg you to choose someone other than Dennis Kucinich.

For the Democrats:

It is only fair that I talk about Dennis Kucinich, and say some of things that nicer candidates don’t want to say. I personally don’t care if I offend Kucinich with what I have to say, and I actually hope this article hurts his chances of getting re-elected.

Dennis Kucinich:
1) Dennis Kucinich is a traitor. I don’t care how you slice it he is a traitor worse than Benedict Arnold. At least Benedict Arnold fought for the Colonists for a little while before surrendering West Point to the British. If Kucinich could, he would surrender all of North America to the Taliban and Hamas. He visited our enemies in Syria, and refuses to visit our troops in Iraq.
2) Kucinich is the biggest crybaby of all time. He cried and whined to ABC for not including him in the presidential debate. The response from ABC news should be that since Dennis refuses to ever attend a debate for the seat he currently holds, he should not be allowed to attend any presidential debates.
3) The newsletters he sends home quote all sorts of mail from constituents thanking him for the wonderful job he is doing. I will paraphrase all the letters for you: “Thank you for helping us get our passports”. Whoopie-Freaking-Doo. You won’t see any letters thanking him for holding congressional hearings on the closure of our hospitals and LTV Steel. He didn’t know his job well enough to even conceive of the idea, nor has he learned since.
4) He has burned so many political bridges in Washington, that even if a Democrat wins the White House, he still will not be able to bring action and dollars home to the 10th District. Hillary won’t work with him, Obama won’t work with him, and John Edwards will not work with him. Needless to say…none of the Republicans will work with him either. Perhaps Mahmoud Ahmadinejad would work with him, but that will only happen if Kucinich can surrender the United Stated to Iran. (Even then…I don’t think Ahmadinejad would work with him for long after the surrender).
5) He continues to embarrass this district, this city, this state, and quite frankly the entire United States.

Thomas O’Grady:
Admittedly, I don’t know much about Mr. O’Grady. I have done some research on him though, and I hope he comes to knock on my door. He is the mayor of North Olmsted, and seems to have a pretty decent track record in his career. He is an Army veteran, and a St. Ignatius High School grad (which is always a plus for me…Go Cats!). Hopefully his platform will be to bring jobs and respect back to the District.

Rosemary Palmer:
I have met Rosemary on a few occasions. I have nothing against her as a person, but she is a political novice. She would not serve this district well in the capacity of having very little political savvy. According to her web site, she served on the Board of Education for South Orange-Maplewood, New Jersey. Serving on a Board of Education (in New Jersey mind you) and representing a large municipal congressional district are two completely different animals. Lastly, her main impetus for running for Congress is due to the tragic death of her son in Iraq. I know this because I have heard her speak, and this is the first reason she mentions for running for Congress. As tragic as the loss is, it does not make for a good rep to congress. I would be concerned about her judgment in voting on very key issues as they relate to our troops. Her personal feelings could get in the way of sound judgment, and cost the lives of even more of our solders abroad.

Joe Cimperman:
I have known Joe for many years. He was 2 years ahead of me at St. Ignatius High School graduating in 1988. Joe is a good guy who has well meaning intentions. There is one giant reason why I will not vote for him. HE DOES NOT LIVE IN THE 10TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT. According to the Board of Elections, Joe lives on West 12th Street in the 11th Congressional District. Joe should run against Stephanie Tubbs Jones.

Barbara Anne Ferris:
I recently met Barb Ferris while running for City Council in Parma. This lady is sharp, and quite frankly…knows her stuff. Some would say that she is a political novice in not getting elected to any offices previously, but I would beg to differ. Barb could easily get elected to any smaller office without even trying all that much. I even asked her to run for City Council in Parma once. Barb has been fighting for this district since 2004, when she mounted an Independent campaign against Kucinich. In 2006, the Plain Dealer was smart enough to endorse her for the Democratic nomination against Kucinich. She saw a long time ago that Kucinich was costing this district employment, money, and quite frankly our lives. While Kucinich was in Hawaii with Jeff Spicoli, our district was suffering from horrible job loss and unemployment. While Kucinich was blaming George Bush and UFO’s for Cleveland’s recession, Barb Ferris was lighting the fire that said Dennis Kucinich IS THE PROBLEM. Long before O’Grady…long before Palmer….long before Cimperman…Barb is the one candidate that has been fighting to bring respect back to the 10th district since the 2004 election.

Democrats should choose Barbara Anne Ferris as their nominee for the 10th Congressional District.

For the Republicans, there are two candidates: Jim Trakas and Jason Werner. This is an easy one….vote for Jim Trakas. I have met both candidates on many occasions. Hands down, Trakas is the way to go. He is talented enough to win the District. He has tons of public and party leadership experience. Trakas would be an excellent choice for Congress.

I look forward to seeing Barb Ferris face off against Jim Trakas in the November election. If these two faced off against one another, the District would be in great shape. Although…if Homer Simpson faced off against Peter Griffin, the district would be in OK shape…since one of the opponents wasn’t Dennis Kucinich.

The King (along with his “man”) imposes a Tax on his Subjects:

By

David G. Fago

Hello citizens of Parma! As you may well know, I have continued my hiatus from posting on my blog since I am running for Parma City Council in Ward 8. However, I feel the need to break my silence after 2 Cuyahoga County commissioners decided to impose a sales tax on over a million citizens yesterday.

County Commissioners Jimmy “King George” Dimora and “Taxin’” Tim Hagen (notice Tim does not need a new nickname) voted 2-1 in favor of raising our sales tax in the county from 7.5% to 7.75%.

I have to commend Peter Lawson Jones (the lone dissenting vote) for sticking up for the people of Cuyahoga County and voicing his opinion in defense of our voting rights.

The argument you may hear from “Taxin’” and from his royal highness “King George” is that this tax is such a small drop in the bucket….no one will even notice.

In this man’s humble opinion….BS…and I don’t mean “Bad Smell”. To impose a tax (of any amount) without a vote of the people is both treacherous and dictatorial. The amount of the tax is not the issue…the principle of taking away the people’s right to vote IS the issue.

This tax does not affect the working class such as an unfair income tax. This tax affects EVERYBODY. This tax does not discriminate by race, gender, or age. This tax will affect baby boomers, senior citizens, generation X’ers, generation Y’s, and even children!! (Yes children….just imagine your 12-year old taking his hard earned grass cutting money to Toys R’ Us to buy himself a nice game or something…..he will be paying this tax!)

But wait…there is more. I am reading that this tax is not just going to fund the building of a new convention center, but the tax itself will be deposited into the county’s general fund. This is very important because once in the general fund, the money can be earmarked for anything….and with this majority of commissioners; I do mean ANYTHING (The sky is the limit boys!)

It is unfortunate, but this is another classic example of the royalty of the Cuyahoga County Democratic party taking the “democratic” process out of such a decision. Notice I said “royalty”. There are a lot of good Democrats that are very upset by this decision, and I will be proud to stand by members of all parties from Democrats to Libertarians, from Republicans to Green Party members in gaining our right to vote on this tax increase.

Visit www.putitontheballot.com. This is the group that is organizing the signature drive to give us the right to vote on this topic. The group will need 45,000 signatures in the next thirty days to get this done. (I also believe this is a treacherous form of democracy by creating near impossible timelines coupled with near impossible numbers).

As I knock on doors in Parma’s Ward 8, I will be bringing by a copy of the petition for your signature. Together we can send a message that our right to vote is precious, and that we will fight for this right each and every time.

Healthy Victory for the Democrats
Lot’s of work ahead for the Republicans

By

David G. Fago

The Democrats achieved a healthy victory not only in Ohio but across the nation. The Republicans in Ohio and elsewhere need to learn from their mistakes. Throughout history, the Republicans were always ousted from office because of scandal, abuse, and criminal activities. In Ohio, our governor pled guilty to charges in the last couple of years. This caused Ken Blackwell’s defeat this year…and Ken was not that big a fan of Bob Taft even before Taft’s guilty plea. Ken was running the year the Dems hit a grand slam. Ken Blackwell will serve again in some capacity…He is too good a man to for his political career to be over.

I use the term grand slam because I heard Mike DeWine and Sherrod Brown talk baseball at a debate. November 7, 2006 was the bottom of the 9th in the championship game with two outs and nobody on. Mike DeWine, Ken Blackwell, and other Republicans were all on the field. I’d like to think of myself as a utility infielder on that team. We were up by three runs.

Ted Strickland singled hard to left field, and stole 2nd base to boot. Marc Dann was intentionally walked to get the possible force out. Then up came Jen Brunner. She hit a small can of corn just outside the reach of right fielder Betty Montgomery. Then up came Sherrod Brown. The Republicans relieved starting pitcher Bob Taft, and brought in Tom Noe. Noe threw one pitch that Sherrod Brown blasted to deep left field. Grand Slam…game over...the Dems win.

The moral of the story needs to go out to all Republicans across Ohio. I am going to list a few items that Republicans and conservatives need to get over in order to become a more successful party. We need to get over these things so we can win again in the near future:

1) I don’t care that Ken Blackwell is a black guy. He is a good human being, and a tremendous republican. If you voted against Ken because he is black…then get out of the party now. (Honestly…I don’t think the Democrats want you either…you may have to settle for the Nazi party).

2) If you disagree with 4% of what Mike DeWine has done, or 3% of his opinions, or 10% of his decisions in Senate….don’t be so stupid as to vote for Sherrod Brown. Because you were mad at Mike DeWine for one little stupid thing should not be a reason to vote in a Democrat. Congratulations if you voted this way, I hope you like killing unborn children and paying high taxes.

3) Please stand by your Republican candidate regardless of his/her sexual orientation. I thought the actions of some Republicans in Ohio House District 14 were appalling. Republican Candidate Bill McGivern had to fight off bigoted criticism from members of his own party because he is gay. (Please see point #1 above…I think the Nazi’s are calling for your leadership).

4) Republicans need to surround themselves with people of high integrity, and zero criminal activity. Being associated with people like Tom Noe destroyed the Republican chances of winning Ohio. This guy’s antics added gasoline to the fire already started by the National anti-Bush media. Had Taft not been a criminal nor had Republicans not been associated with Noe…we may have done much better. By the way little Republicans like Ed Herman on the West side suffered because Republicans were associated with these dirt bags. (Notice…I did not say I suffered. Had this crap not happened, I may have been able to muster 35% instead of 25%...but I digress)

5) If you are an elected official…and you plead guilty of a crime other than a speeding ticket, parking ticket, or jay-walking…please resign. I don’t care if you only had 2 drinks before the DUI…resign. The elected officials make laws that we must follow. Yes…Elected Officials must be held to a higher standed, and they should pay the price. (By the way…even if you don’t plead guilty…the same rule should apply if you are found guilty).

6) Republicans….RUN FOR OFFICE! No Democrat should run unopposed…ever. I have never seen a Republican run unopposed. I saw a few Democrats running unopposed…sickening.

7) Will some Republican please change their name to Dennis Kucinich and run against him??? If you win…it will be worth it to keep the name…trust me.

8) The Republicans need a youth movement. We need to recruit energetic 20 somethings to get out and fire us up. I have been labeled as a “young republican” by some. I will be 35 in Feb!!! When I think young…I am thinking…20 year old college student!

9) Republicans have a lot of work ahead of them. We still hold control of the Ohio house and the Senate. The Democrats are like hording Barbarians….even though they just sacked Rome does not mean they won’t be gunning for these entities in 2 years!!

10) VOLUNTEER – Please, please, please volunteer! You will meet great people in the process, and it will make you feel great! Not just that…but you will help people win office! Find a candidate in your neighborhood and VOLUNTEER!

In closing…we have a lot of work to do. The odd year elections usually are for local offices and mayors. This does not mean that these elections are not important. They are in fact more important to your wallet than you think. Now that the election is over, I can start to write about Parma once again. I called my opponent Tim DeGeeter to congratulate him on his victory. I told him that as a pro-life Democrat he will need to vehemently voice his stand over his party’s stance on the topic of abortion and embryonic stem cell research. I told him that a simple “no” vote against party lines will not be sufficient. I thanked Tim for running a good campaign.
